Lincoln, Nebraska is typically known for its culinary and art treasures, live music scene, parks, and friendly Midwest attitude, but they're in national headlines after a man seemingly went to try and set some kind of record when it comes to Driving Under the Influence charges.

Police officers cited a man from Nebraska after being busted for drunk driving twice in just a four-hour window, according to the Lincoln Police Department.

26-year-old Joshua Steckly was pulled over just before 10pm on Monday. Officers administered a field sobriety test, and determined that Steckly's blood alcohol content was at .145, nearly twice the legal limit in Nebraska. The legal limit is 0.08%.

According to KOLN, Steckley was taken to LifePointe, a local health and wellness center, so he could sober up. He was charged with Driving Under the Influence, and then turned over to a sober party.

Just hours later, officers were dispatched after a call came in at 1:40am Tuesday reporting a car that had crashed into a chain link fence.

When the Lincoln Police Department officers arrived at the scene of the crash, they found the driver was none other than 26-year-old Joshua Steckly, the same that they'd pulled over less than four hours before.

He was still intoxicated, and if anything, he seemed to be more intoxicated than when the officers had previously seen him.

Sure enough, another check found that Steckly's blood alcohol content was now reading out at .204, three times the legal limit.

Steckley was charged with Driving Under the Influence and driving without insurance.
